Audrey Hepburn Styled Wedding Dress

The highlight of my year in Brisbane is here. The Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival  is always exciting, inspiring and glamorous. My must-see is showcase is of course the bridal show by designer extraordinaire Brad Webb of Darb Bridal Couture.

The Darb Bridal Couture show was, as always, gob-smackingly glamorous. I will show you the full collection over the next few days, but for today, i just wanted to share the show-stopping finale gown with you. Darb Bridal Coutures specactular black and white lace ball gown instantly reminded me of a Givenchy gown that Audrey Hepburn wore in the movie Sabrina. You could say it's a modern take on a classic and iconic image. I love Audrey Hepburn and I love Darb Bridal.

Darb Bridal Couture is located in Brisbane Arcade, Queen Street Mall, Brisbane.

Bridal Barbie

I'm a real girly girl... so personally, i love this idea. Imagine having a Barbie doll created that is the mirror of your bridal look. A mini-me version of you... everything down to the shoes. This is exactly what one bride did. She had her Reem Acra gown recreated to fit a Barbie, along with her red-soled Christian Louboutin shoes. What a fabulous reminder of your wedding day.

Vintage Ice Cream Van

I know it's Winter here in Australia, and i shouldn't really be thinking of ice cream... but i can't help it. I just love vintage style ice cream vans and the idea of having one at your wedding reception. I was at a park recently with some friends and the instant we heard the chime of the ice cream van we all started running towards it. The sweet sound bought out the child in us and we couldn't resist. Money in hand we all stood in line anxiously waiting for our ice creams even though we were so full from lunch we still couldn't resist. I just love this idea and excitement of having an ice cream van arrive at your reception and i'm sure your guests will too!
